This year our Fireworks Fun Tournament took place on the day itself - Wednesday 5th and so the 24 members who played were serenaded by the sound and sight of  fireworks in the sky 

The competitors played timed qualifiers , switching partners every 15 minutes to establish the top scorers and finalists

The top two males were junior Bobby Ferms in his first senior tournament and Ian Alcock.Heather Bryson was the top lady with  Louise Fenn and Lindsay Newton tying for second - Louise won the racket spin to go through to the final 

In the final Bobby and Louise faced up against Ian and Heather - unfortunately part way through Heather took a tumble and she was unable to continue. Speedy recovery Heather 

The event was sponsored by Spall Clark Solicitors and Becky and Paul were in attendance with their dog Lola 

Teams and Competitions co-ordinator Andrew Giltrap thanked them for the ongoing support of the club , event organiser Eileen Grigg who also provided free sparklers for the players and DJ Mandy Craker for the music 

Eileen presented the trophy and prizes on behalf of trophy sponsors EPG Accountants 

A big congrats to the winners and especially 12 year old Bobby for winning on his debut in adult competition
