Saturday 21st June saw the latest social tournament at the club - this was a timed tournament for the Town Mayors Trophy

New mayor Robert Brittain , mayoress  Susan Brittain and cadet Haru Pepper were in attendance as members played qualifying rounds to try and reach the knockout stages 

The weather was warm but occasional dashes of rain  attempted to cool the players down 

The final was a close affair but Keith Brookbanks and Helen Dyson saw off David King and Eileen Grigg to take home the prizes courtesy of Hightown Fish & Chips

Organiser Andrew Giltrap thanked the sponsors , all of the players , DJ Mandy Craker for the music and Rebecca Fenn for preparing and selling the strawberries and cream 

Committee member Nick Wilkins presented a cheque for £180 to the mayor and his cadet which will go to the mayors charities
