Wednesday 2nd June 2021 is the first ever ‘National u3a Day” which will celebrate the learning, activity and fun that happens every day in u3as across the country
Congleton & District u3a was formed in 1998 and membership now stands at approximately 1,300
To celebrate u3a Day, the Congleton u3a tennis group , which meets weekly and is run by Sue Stanmore and Les Clarke will be holding their annual tournament on Wednesday 2nd June at the club
Members of the public are welcome to take the opportunity to come along and watch some play, and chat with u3a members to learn more about what the organisation has to offer.
The event starts at 9.30am and tea/coffee will be available from 10-12
The tournament has been kindly sponsored by one of our club partners Barre Sculpt who are based just opposite the club - many thanks to them for their support
Sue Stanmore has decided to take this opportunity to also raise funds for Christies Macclesfield, and apart from refreshments there will be a raffle and a few plants for sale. All money taken will go to this very worthy cause
Anyone who can’t make it on the day but would like to support the fundraising can contact Sue Stanmore on 07510 633255.
