I am very pleased to announce that the winner of the 2021/2022 Congleton Lawn Tennis Club Winter Singles Mini Leagues is Jim Worthington.
Jim won Division A in Round 6 which makes him a winner anyway but he also topped the leaderboard for all rounds with ten matches won over the six rounds.
Ian Oakley was the runner up, both in Division A Round 6 and on the leaderboard with 9 matches won.
Jim and Ian will both receive vouchers for drinks packages at Bamboogy Retro Bar and Club, a very appropriate prize for two of the hottest but most experienced singles in town.!!
Many thanks to Bamboogy for their generosity.

The singles mini leagues will resume in September but there will be an opportunity to play singles over the summer.
There will be a club WhatsApp group with the description "Practice and Points" which will allow members to connect with hitting partners for practice and, if they wish, play competitive matches. A match can be any format the two players want to use, a set will do. Any results that get posted on the WhatsApp group will be used to construct a ladder.
We have sponsorship from John's Barbers in Congleton. The person who plays in the most competitive matches and the person who wins the most matches will each receive a Amazon voucher coutesy of John's Barbers.
In addition the club will contribute a small prize to the person who is top of the ladder on 31st August.
Have a good summer and thank you for participating in the CLTC Winter Singles over the last seven months.
