Glorious sunshine bathed the competitors during the first social tournament for the year, the Chairs Trophy, sponsored by Hannah’s Creations.   

With five juniors also taking part, it was great to see some really good tennis being played during the afternoon. 

Four rounds of 8 games were played to determine who would face off in the final, which saw Venus Moses and Sam Maxwell, fighting it out with Louise Fenn and junior Fletcher Moseley. 

The final was well fought, and despite an impressive tournament debut from Fletcher, Sam and Venus ran out 12-10 winners in the tiebreak. 

Thanks go out to all of the players, Andrew Giltrap for organising the day, DJ Mandy for spinning the decks, Gill for providing liquid refreshments and of course our sponsor, Hannah’s Creations for some delicious looking tennis themed cupcakes given out as the first prizes.
